Upon recent purchase of a slice of the Great Australian Dream, the previous owner had left this beautiful, handwritten note. First thought was that this was a typed note, printed in an old fashioned, handwriting font. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that this perfectly aligned wonder was produced by a human hand. This piece of treasure is definitely something to hold onto. Click to enlarge and see the note in all of its glory, although this scan does not do it justice. You don’t see handwriting like this these days.

Lovely. I could just see her with her ruler out, carefully ensuring she doesn’t run into it and create any flat tires. It must have taken forever to write, or she’s a savant. Either way, it’s a beautiful keepsake. I recommend you make it the first entry in a journal (physical, not this blog stuff) about your time in the new home.

PS – The lightbox version of the letter is smaller than the one on the page… just a heads up.

    Hey Xopher,

Thanks for the comment and the great suggestion for using it in a journal.

The lightbox version is actually a larger image, but it does resize according to screen size plus a bit of padding. If you can test it on a larger monitor, you may be able to see it fullsize, otherwise you can try this link:
