I’m Jarrod Taylor. And I am a creator.
As I said on the homepage… I’m a web designer by trade—well at least that’s what I formally studied—however I’ve always thought of myself as more of an artist. I’ve recently started taking photos. I’m not a writer, but I’ll give it a go. I’m interested in internet business and social media. And I work at Campaign Monitor.
I used to talk in the third person—before this website update, I would refer to myself in the third person. However, I’ve now decided to take a more personal angle to my writing. I had, and have, multiple pseudonyms—Jarrod when I’m working for my employer and yedmart when I build my own art. Jaruhd the Vicious used to be one half of the vagrant outfit known as theviciouscycle but most of the time these days, I seem to go by the name Jaruhd. Perhaps this is a unique and creative way to spell the name by parents assigned me? Perhaps this is the name of my twin from a parallel Islamic universe? Does it really matter?
Growing up, I preferred the colour blue over red. For a while there, I favoured green. Now I think it’s black. If you don’t consider black a colour, then take blue. I like ice cream and coffee, but not at the same time.

Where did the name yedmart.com come from? I’m not quite sure, but it seems to have stuck. Besides, now it’s too hard now to change my email address, forward my domain and change my many logins. I recall that I registered the domain name quite quickly, and at the time, I think jarrodtaylor.com was taken. Maybe that was a good thing?
The yedmart logo uses the font Layercake by Jakob Nylund and this website is built with the WordPress theme London Creative by _freshface.
